Description

We are seeking a Specialist Electrical Design and Automation Technology to join our team at FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY GmbH in Mannheim, Germany.

As a Specialist Electrical Design and Automation Technology, you will be responsible for:

  • Electrical design of production-relevant machines and plants regarding automation, process control, and measurement and control technology
  • Independent project management from concept phase to acceptance
  • Programming and optimization of SPS (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) including visualization
  • Commissioning of production plants including contact exchange and connection to production data acquisition
  • Maintenance and repair tasks as well as troubleshooting at the interface between electrical engineering, automation, and IT
  • Monitoring and adhering to deadlines for statutory tests
  • Maintaining plant documentation and further developing the automation landscape (e.g., OPC-UA connection)

You have:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or a qualification as a certified electrical engineer (automation technology)
  • Professional experience in automation and process control technology as well as electrical maintenance in an industrial operation
  • Practical experience in SPS programming (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) and commissioning
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, particularly networking of production plants and data connection
  • Basic understanding of industrial communication and network technology (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)
  • Self-motivated, structured working style and pronounced team ability
  • Ideally, you also have knowledge of EPLAN, SAP PM, and Microsoft 365, experience with SCADA/process control systems, know-how in the area of machine directive and CE conformity, as well as interest in data-based, condition-oriented maintenance
