Description

About the role

We're looking for a Strategic Projects Lead to take on recruiting's most complex, cross-cutting work: high-stakes decisions and initiatives spanning multiple teams. You'll provide structure, coordination, and follow-through to ensure these initiatives are completed effectively as the company scales.

You will work across every team involved in hiring, moving work forward through partnership, not ownership. Your role is to influence: bring the right people together, ensure decisions are principled and well-documented, and maintain recruiting's approach coherence over time. Success in this role depends on building trust across senior stakeholders with different priorities and creating effective systems.

This is a high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity. You should have a deep understanding of recruiting, be able to identify areas for improvement, and be motivated by resolving multiple complex problems simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take on recruiting's most complex projects: define problems, develop small-scale tests, and transition successful initiatives into repeatable programs.
  • Coordinate the operational rhythm across recruiting support teams to ensure unified planning, review, and decision-making.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement systemic fixes.
  • Design processes for company-wide changes involving recruiting and drive adoption.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for headcount and workforce planning, including hiring pace and regional readiness.
  • Establish and maintain operating standards for interviewing processes.
  • Translate analytics into actionable standards and SOPs, and create accessible documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and remain knowledgeable about recruiting systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or talent roles at a fast-growing company.
  • Experience working with or within a talent team, understanding daily recruiting operations.
  • Ability to think in systems, anticipate downstream effects, and design solutions.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and making tough prioritization decisions.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to set vision and direction.
  • Experience with AI implementation in real-world workflows.
  • Proven track record of testing ideas, making principled decisions, and executing plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global recruiting or talent operations.
  • Background in deep-tech environments with technical recruiting complexity.
  • Experience working across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.

Logistics

  • Annual salary: $235,000 - $300,000 USD
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Location-based hybrid policy: 25% office time
  • Visa sponsorship available

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Optional equity donation matching
  • Generous vacation and parental leave
  • Flexible working hours
  • Office space
