Senior Software Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities:

• Work with the team to deliver E2E solution for cards business in a cost-effective way.
• Provide assistance in technical leadership for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of HSBC IT systems to support business units.
• Provide Production Support service, including resolution of live incidents.
• Provide technical expertise in finding the root cause of major system problems.
• Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems to optimise operational performance and improve quality while increasing cost-effectiveness.
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders regarding resolving technical issues related to project delivery.

Requirements:

• More than 6 years of IT development and IT project delivery experience.
• Strong technical skills in Java, Oracle, SQL, API, etc.
• Strong communication skills and proven experience working in a global environment.
• Capable of working in Agile mode and familiar with DevSecOps.
• Capable of providing IT solutions and architecture diagrams for related Cards projects.
• Proactive, self-motivated, independent working ability, and high sense of responsibility.
• Experience in relevant banking cards products is preferred.
