Manager, Environmental Safety and Health

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

We are looking for a Manager, Environmental Safety and Health, an onsite role based in Costa Mesa, CA, with plans to relocate to Long Beach, CA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations at a newly constructed multi-building manufacturing campus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the EHS department, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
• Assist with accident/incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions.
• Serve as EHS interface and liaison with employees, managers, customers, auditors, and regulators.
• Identify workplace safety hazards and conditions for job-related tasks by performing and documenting safety inspections.
• Collaborate with other departments to guide, teach, and influence safe behaviors in the workplace.
• Manage hazardous waste, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and standards, including hazard communication, fall protection, and chemical management.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Experience leading teams.
• Experience in Cal/OSHA.
• Experience in 40 CFR Parts 260-279 Hazardous Waste Management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities/projects and deadlines.
• U.S. Person status is required.

• Well-rounded ESH professional with experience interfacing at all levels in the organization.
• Manufacturing experience.
• DoD program experience.
• High energy individual with a desire to build a system.
• Natural tendency towards challenging the status quo.

Salary Range: $129,000-$171,000 USD
