Manager, Life Underwriting

We are seeking a Manager, Life Underwriting to join our team at Prudential.

As a Manager, Life Underwriting, you will assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications within delegated authority. You will manage case pipeline to meet service turnaround time and productivity targets, handle complex and escalated cases, including medical and financial assessments, and support underwriting audits to ensure adherence to guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing and underwriting life and health insurance applications
• Managing case pipeline to meet service turnaround time and productivity targets
• Handling complex and escalated cases
• Supporting underwriting audits
• Delivering underwriting training and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Participating in the review, enhancement, and maintenance of underwriting guidelines
• Supporting product development by providing underwriting input on risk assessment and acceptance criteria
• Ensuring underwriting practices remain competitive and aligned with market standards
• Contributing to underwriting initiatives, including process improvements and automation initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Life and/or Health underwriting
• Solid experience in handling individual underwriting cases, including complex cases
• Exposure to underwriting audits, training, or guideline review is an advantage
