Senior Backend Engineer, Safety

Reddit is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Safety and Moderation organization. The successful candidate will work remotely in the United States and contribute to building tools that help moderators keep Reddit safe, healthy, and scalable.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop novel products and features
• Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, and launch
• Lead a team of engineers and provide guidance on best practices and professional development
• Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of software development experience in languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC basics
• BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
• Strong organizational skills and entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience working in a fully remote environment

The base salary range for this position is: $190,800-$267,100 USD
