Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos Defense in Huntsville, AL. As a Systems Engineer, you will support a cruise missile development effort and work on a team of approximately 3 other systems engineers. You will use Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML to develop requirements specifications, system architecture content, and system behavioral content.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 3+ years of experience or an MS with 1+ year. Experience using MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, and/or other Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) modeling tools is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop requirements specifications, system architecture content, and system behavioral content using Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML
- Work independently on MBSE models and customize models as needed
- Communicate with non-Systems Engineering stakeholders who are less familiar with MBSE approaches
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Direct systems engineering experience
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Understanding of the DoD acquisition processes and methods
- Experience supporting one or more DoD programs
- Object Management Group (OMG) Certified System Modeler Professional (OCSMP) certification
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP or CSEP)
