UI Software Engineer - EA SPORTS™ UFC

As a UI Software Engineer on the EA SPORTS UFC team, you will work on maintaining and extending existing user interfaces. You will collaborate with a small team to implement new features, test, debug, and verify work to ensure performance, stability, and quality targets are met.

The EA SPORTS UFC franchise offers an exciting experience for over 20 million players globally, delivering fluid and responsive mixed martial arts through innovative gameplay technology. The team is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and works 3 days a week onsite in the Burnaby studio.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain existing UI
• Collaborate to implement new features
• Test, debug, and verify work to ensure performance, stability, and quality targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in the games industry
• 1+ years of experience in object-oriented design and implementation
• Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices
• Basic knowledge of C++
• Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python or LUA

Additional skills:

• Actionscript / Flash
• Experience in Unreal or Unity
• Experience in a Client/Server environment
• Experience in version control tools (Perforce, Git)
• Proven track record of integrating emerging AI technologies
