Description
We are seeking a System Software Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. As a System Software Engineer, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for software enhancements and new products. You will gather system requirements from product managers, customers, architects, development engineers, system testers, and customer advocates for service platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
- Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required
- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application
- Lead a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in software development
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with one or more programming languages: Golang, Python, Java
- Experience with Distributed systems and Microservice Architectures using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
- Experience with RESTFUL APIs, RPC Frameworks, Web Sockets
- Experience with Database and Big Data technologies like ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, Spark, Dynamo DB, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Understanding of fundamental ML concepts and integration patterns for production systems
- Experience with software development that interfaces with ML models and AI services
