Audio Description (AD) Script Writer - Mandarin (simplified)

Descriptive Video Works, owned by Keywords Studios, is seeking experienced freelance Mandarin (simplified) language audio description scriptwriters who share our commitment to accessibility.

Overview:

• Write and/or proofread Mandarin (simplified) audio description narration scripts for film and television content.
• Meet deadlines as determined by the DVW Project Manager and communicate any issues that could impact script delivery.
• Ensure AD scripts meet DVW's and client's quality standards.
• QC/proofread AD scripts by other writers.
• Collaborate with other writers in a team environment.
• Work remotely.

Requirements:

• Commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
• Native speaker of Mandarin.
• Understanding of audio description guidelines and best practices.
• Minimum 1 year of proven Audio Description script writing or AD script QC experience.
• Mastery of Mandarin written grammar and elements of style.
• Good English comprehension.
• Experience in media production, localization, or copywriting is a plus.
