The IONL DAISY Nurse Leader Award was created to recognise the value and importance of Nurse Leaders throughout the state of Indiana. Indiana Nurse Leaders exist in all practice settings, academia and beyond. These leaders exemplify resilience, grit and dedication.
The award criteria include:
- Leadership: Influence and advancement of the profession
- Education: Providing educational resources, professional development, and mentorship
- Advocacy: Supporting nursing objectives at organisational, local, state, and national levels
- Diversity: Demonstrating respect for the differences among nurses
- Ethics: Cultivating and acting within the professional code of moral and practice standards
- Relationships: Convening to create networking opportunities, best practice sharing, and friendships among nurses
Eligibility criteria include being a licensed nurse in Indiana with evidence of serving in a way that highlights the pillars of the IONL organisation.
