Air Operations Associate

About the Role

The Air Operations Associate role is critical to Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone. You will work directly with customers, including account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals, and trucking providers.

Responsibilities

• Execute booking and documentation processes with clients and carriers
• Troubleshoot and escalate shipment exceptions in a timely manner
• Collaborate with Flexport Account Management and Planning teams to ensure effective end-to-end export processes
• Coach junior specialists on daily tasks
• Plan and execute special freight operations (e.g., DG, reefer)
• Assist Senior Associates with new business/process implementation, projects, and tasks
• Provide expertise to internal and external clients to inform their decisions
• Develop and implement procedures and systems to differentiate Flexport operations from the industry

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting (air freight knowledge is a plus)
