Description
The Sourcing Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting supplier selection for specific products, Partnering with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, and joint design development, Developing and consolidating manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) to ramp production internally and with suppliers, Managing NPI component procurement, CAPEX, and value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility, Completing BOM risk assessments, component qualifications, and reducing complexity through commonality optimisation and component/supplier rationalisation, Leading cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximising total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle, Managing ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.
Requirements include 3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices, with domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
