2027 Physical Therapist Residency

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Resident to join our team at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Rehabilitation in Rome, GA.

As a Physical Therapist Resident, you will evaluate patients, develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and families.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients and create care plans
• Gather and interpret data from medical records and physician reports
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes
• Communicate with physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff
• Provide patient and family education
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Requirements:

• None

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day
• Lifting of patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to laterally transfer patients 100 pounds rarely
