Description
Our team builds and runs cloud-native services and AI capabilities that Cisco engineers, customers, and developers rely on daily. We deploy generative and agentic AI in production, focusing on reliability and security. As a hands-on team of senior engineers, we work closely with architects, product, and security teams to develop and maintain services.
In this role, you will build and operate secure, scalable microservice applications on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring reliability and observability. You will develop and integrate AI and agentic capabilities, apply a security-first approach, and automate testing, delivery, and monitoring using modern DevSecOps practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience, Master's degree + 6 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++
- 3+ years of experience with microservices, REST APIs, or distributed applications on a public cloud platform like AWS
- 2+ years of experience with containerized applications in Kubernetes
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with generative AI or large language models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Experience with AI agents and agentic workflows in an enterprise setting
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel
- Experience with AI security, guardrails, governance, evaluation, or observability
- Track record of mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering standards
