Description
As a Senior Security Operations Engineer at Samsara, you will collaborate with a global team of engineers to monitor and respond to security events, lead security incidents, and conduct digital forensic investigations.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring security events and providing technical analysis on alerts
- Leading information security incidents and employee investigations
- Delivering security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives
- Coordinating the building of services and technologies to support security operations
- Championing Samsara's cultural principles as the team scales globally
The ideal candidate has:
- 5+ years of experience in Security Incident Response
- Proficiency in Python and experience with SIEM tools
- Understanding of analysis and forensics techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Experience in cloud architecture and security (AWS, GCP)
- Strong communication skills to convey investigative findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
This role is open to candidates residing in the US in the Pacific Time Zone and requires participation in an on-call rotation, potentially working outside standard business hours.
The compensation range for this role is $135,481-$227,700 USD per year, with additional benefits including a flexible working model, professional development stipend, and comprehensive health and parental leave plans.
