2027 2L Intellectual Property Summer Associate

Ice Miller LLP is seeking a summer associate who is interested in patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation to join our Intellectual Property team in Philadelphia or New York.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or life sciences, including biology, microbiology, or chemistry.

The 10-week summer associate program includes:

• Exposure to the Intellectual Property practice group and other practice groups

Requirements:

• Eligible to take the Patent Bar
• Interest in litigation
• Strong writing and analytical ability
• Ability to excel in a team environment
• Leadership skills
• Prior work experience, including legal, military, or service industry experience
• Curious, motivated, and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments
• Diligent time and project management
• Prior experiences that prepare you to work with attorneys/agents, staff, and clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States
• Obtained an undergraduate degree and enrolled in the JD class of 2028 at an accredited law school

Compensation: $4,134 weekly in New York and $3,990 weekly in Philadelphia.
