Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our Distribution Business in Coburg, OR. As a technician, you will diagnose and complete less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete repair activities on generators or components
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform maintenance and repairs using diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of service
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Participate in ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain your own tools

Requirements:

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
  • High Voltage and Low Voltage experience
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Basic Diesel Engine experience
  • Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
  • Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and commissioning on new ATS installations

Additional Requirements:

  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required
  • Some overtime may be necessary based on workload
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to support Branch territory coverage
  • Possibility of travel to support other locations with PG field workload as needed

DOT Requirements:

  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • 3 years driving experience
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
