Alongside your clinical practice, you will contribute to service development, quality improvement and the development of colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Support patients attending the one stop breast clinic and coordinate their ongoing care
  • Complete specialist assessments, develop individualised care plans and provide preoperative and postoperative counselling
  • Visit patients in the inpatient setting before or after surgery when required
  • Provide telephone follow up and wound review appointments where clinically appropriate
  • Support patients with prosthesis fitting, body image concerns and the emotional impact of treatment
  • Work closely with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient services
  • Contribute to audit, research, service development and quality improvement
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior colleagues, students and new Clinical Nurse Specialists

Requirements:
