Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, Casting & Welding, Intelligence Systems

We are looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer - Intelligence Systems to join the Quality Engineering Team. This role will partner across the product development organization, production organization, and field operations organizations.

As a Senior Supply Quality Engineer, you will work inside & outside the organization to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high quality & reliable castings.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with design teams to support design development and provide design for manufacturability feedback.
• Use knowledge and expertise of casting operations and welding processes to support internal design process and ideation.
• Drive supplier quality development processes throughout product development stages.
• Partner with development engineering, product quality engineering, and program management to deliver predictable supply.
• Drive supplier quality readiness by analyzing key characteristics and developing measurement systems.
• Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing and Product Sourcing Engineering to drive overall supplier performance.
• Own the elimination of supplier risk to improve quality & reliability across the product lifecycle.
• Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy or similar technical field.
• Experience with producing castings and mechanical assemblies for maritime, aerospace, or space applications.
• Experience in scaling supplier capabilities and quality from prototype to high rate production.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.
• Experience performing First Article Inspection to AS9102 Industry Standard.
• Experience with driving supplier performance and evaluation.
• Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP.
• Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
• Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, and statistical analysis tools.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience in creating material and process specifications for castings and mechanical parts.
• Working knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques.
• Experience qualifying metal joining methods including welding and brazing.
• Experience with managing special processes including heat treatment and coating.

Salary Range: $146,000-$194,000 USD
