EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio, and technology to life. The team consists of artists, engineers, technicians, designers, and development directors.

As an Environment Artist, you will be the point of contact between teams, aligning vision and goals with directors while having direct creative input and planning. You will oversee and follow the art team's work and quality specific to 3D asset creation, focusing on quality consistency, performance, technical pioneering, and team growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Art Director in driving and maintaining high visual quality of world assets, inspiring and aligning with the project vision.
  • Partner with AD and other departments to improve the work pipeline, R&D art style, adapt new techniques, tools, and workflow.
  • Collaborate with Production managers to manage the project art team's daily activities.
  • Detect potential risks in production and work with partners to come up with mitigation plans.
  • Create a fun and inspirational environment while coaching artists by providing reviews, growth plans, and generally assisting in their skills.
  • Deliver feedback to internal and external teams to maintain art style understanding and quality for the Project.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in AAA game production as an environment lead or experienced artist.
  • Excellent understanding of hard-surface modeling and texturing.
  • Versatile skill set for a broad range of art styles.
  • Experience contributing to creative briefs, visual targets, and prototypes.
  • Expertise in PBR workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, polish art quality with other art teams, and complete optimization, implementation, and debugging passes for assets with the TA team.
  • Ability to provide precise and concise feedback in different forms.
  • Mainstream game engine experience.
