Senior Tax Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Torrance, California. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our tax operations.

Job Purpose

The Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for various tax-related matters, including tax planning, compliance, and controversy.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for various tax-related matters, including tax planning, compliance, and controversy
• Analyse and interpret complex tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimise tax liabilities and maximise tax benefits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate tax risks
• Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and other documents

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, preferably in a corporate setting
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
