Description
Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Product Development - EMV and Payment Technology to lead and manage operations related to Mobile Payment Applications, Wallet UI, Wearables, and Back-End Server Approvals.
The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with Mastercard testing, branding, approval processes, and operational rules. They will oversee the execution of global approval processes and associated requirements for various products, including Wallet UI and Wearables, Merchant Presented QR, Cloud-Based Payments, Token Service Providers, and Trusted Service Managers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing operations related to Mobile Payment Applications, Wallet UI, Wearables, and Back-End Server Approvals
- Ensuring full compliance with Mastercard testing, branding, approval processes, and operational rules
- Overseeing the execution of global approval processes and associated requirements
- Acting as a primary interface with key external partners, vendors, developers, and customers
- Managing modifications to vendor contracts or agreements, engaging legal when required
- Maintaining product approval databases and tracking files, proposing and implementing continuous improvement ideas
- Implementing AI/Agent in daily support activities and operations
- Providing management with quarterly reports covering SLAs, approval volumes, KPIs, and key statistics
The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred
- 9+ years' experience in quality assurance, project management, or business process engineering
- Industry exposure in one or more of the following: software development, financial services, telecom/mobile, e-commerce
- Strong understanding of digital payment systems
- In-depth knowledge of chip card technology and EMV specifications
- Familiarity with testing and approval methodologies
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Access; Visual Basic development experience required
- Excellent analytical and business writing skills
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and global stakeholder relationships
- Business acumen and ability to provide solutions while managing customer expectations
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with clarity in explaining concepts and processes
- Self-motivated with a strong record of success in team-based environments
- Excellent command of English (Mandarin if possible), both spoken and written
