Description
The Utah County Public Works Department is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist II to perform skilled building maintenance, construction activities, and repairs to county-owned facilities. The successful candidate will work under general supervision, performing a broad array of assignments requiring independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled building maintenance, construction activities, and repairs
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform a broad array of assignments of considerable difficulty
Requirements:
- Associate degree or apprenticeship in facility maintenance, trades, or related field
- 2 years of work experience in facility maintenance and repair
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Certifications:
- Forklift Certification
- CPR Certification
- Defensive driving course
- Confined Space Training
- Trench safety course
- Other certifications as directed
