Performance Psychologist

We are seeking a Performance Psychologist to join our Athlete Performance Centre (APC) in Thalgau, Austria. As a Performance Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing multi-dimensional mental assessments, fostering and monitoring behavioral strategies, and delivering tailored mental training to create a competitive advantage for Red Bull elite athletes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of athletes' mental performance capabilities
• Developing individualized interventional strategies comprising advanced mental skills training and performance rehearsal
• Designing and providing knowledge transfer initiatives for athletes and multidisciplinary support teams
• Cultivating relationships and collaboration with external partners in terms of information exchange and knowledge transfer
• Working closely with the global Mental Performance team to champion the continuous development, implementation, and harmonization of mental performance philosophies, methodologies, and intervention strategies

Requirements:

• Master's degree (or higher) in Sport Psychology/Performance Psychology or a related field
• Extensive experience working with elite athletes across individual and team sports (7+ years)
• Exceptional experience and proven track record in individual and team consultations of international athletes
• Proven experience in the coordination of a team of mental performance experts and specialists
• Experience in working effectively within interdisciplinary performance environments
• Strong understanding of the organizational structure and key processes in high-performance sport and elite athlete demands
• Knowledge in action-regulation concepts with an emphasis on motor-behavior performance and performance-behavior control in sports
• Strong communication, inter-personal skills, analytical competencies, and cooperative organisational behaviour
