Description
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Internal Audit at HSBC Life Insurance Company Limited in Shanghai, China.
In this role, you will assist in developing the annual audit plan and support its completion. You will lead the delivery of audits, including major and highly complex ones, providing critical assessments of HSBC's governance, risk, and internal control frameworks to internal customers and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit teams and ensuring timely and efficient completion of audit assignments
- Applying risk-based auditing techniques to plan and execute complex audits
- Identifying root causes of issues and producing high-quality audit reports with pragmatic recommendations
- Maintaining interactions with businesses and stakeholders
- Championing best practices and maintaining HSBC internal control standards
- Collaborating with Global and Regional Audit Teams
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A solid and progressive career history with a minimum of 15 years of related experience
- A strong educational background to degree standard
- Applicable insurance industry and product knowledge or regulatory experience
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., actuarial, FRM, accounting, or audit)
- Data analytics or AI skills are preferred
- A credible and professional persona
- Excellent verbal and written articulation skills in English and Mandarin
