Description
WSP is seeking an Associate Consultant, Electrical Engineering for our Baltimore, MD office. As an Associate Consultant, you will provide support to technical staff, engineers, and project managers for various projects in the public and private sector.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with collecting, compiling, and analysing data relating to substation components, equipment specifications, and design work.
- Perform basic professional electrical engineering work relating to the design of substations, power distribution, and renewable energy systems.
- Provide technical assistance on design requirements, equipment sizing, and cabling.
- Support senior engineers with research and recommendations.
- Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, and power distribution.
- Write technical reports summarising research with findings and conclusions.
- Assist with risk identification and assessment, and work with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and design/build processes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, and tools.

Compensation:
- Expected Salary: $79,300 - $109,000
