Description
We are seeking a Complex Claims Manager to join the AirCover team at Airbnb. As a Complex Claims Manager, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity of our AirCover platform by effectively identifying, investigating, and managing the risk and mitigation strategies in resolution of Complex and Large Loss claims.
You will manage partners to influence prioritization, drive accountability, deliver improvements, and scale changes on claims which impact Airbnb. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage emerging risks/threats while enabling business growth in various markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and resolving Complex and Large Loss claims
- Building partnerships with insurers and external stakeholders
- Crafting Resolution Plans for Complex and Large Loss Claims
- Collaborating with internal departments, such as Trust, Legal, and Safety
- Mentoring and upskilling junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Insurance Claims Coverage and Litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of complex claims resolution, insurance policies, and risk management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with leaders and teams globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of Casualty and Property Insurance Policies and Claims
- Understanding of Legal and Claims complexities in North America, LATAM, and EMEA
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and/or third-party providers
This is a remote-eligible position with a salary range of $100,000-$115,000 USD per year.
