MPC Paint Senior Technician

As a senior technician in the paint shop at McLaren Automotive, you will ensure the seamless and efficient operation of one of our paint zonal areas.

Your primary responsibility will be to adhere to health and safety guidelines, follow the paint process (PES) to achieve a smooth finish, and escalate any concerns about panel finishes to your line manager.

You will also be expected to:

• Understand and follow detailed process documents related to vehicle painting
• Complete station operations within takt and to a high standard
• Escalate concerns affecting quality, cost, or productivity to your leader
• Maintain 5s standards in your work area
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Learn multiple processes to ensure coverage within the zone

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience and knowledge of paint application
• Understanding of processes and work instructions
• Knowledge of workplace safety risk assessments
• Ability to make sound decisions and work under pressure
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Good communication skills and flexibility
