Description
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Global Banking Solutions engineering group. You'll help build products financial institutions rely on to serve their customers. You'll lead development work across the full software lifecycle, contribute to architectural decisions, uphold code quality standards, and mentor teammates.
Responsibilities:
- Provide input on architectural decisions and guide team members around best practices.
- Incorporate automated tests into applicable tickets and mentor team members on automation strategies.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and propose innovative ideas and solutions.
- Identify opportunities and lead proof-of-concepts to demonstrate key functionality or validate critical technical aspects.
- Consider scalability, maintainability, and best practices in high-level design.
- Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies.
- Help choose technologies and tools used for projects.
- Design code aligned with overall service architecture.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field and introduce new approaches and technologies.
- Understand the data model and design of the product.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.
- Improve automated testing and best practices.
- Support PM and team in developing strategic launch and release plans.
- Promote cross-team collaboration.
- Prioritize system hygiene backlog.
- Mitigate introduction of additional hygiene through code reviews.
- Lead management of software dependencies.
- Exhibit technical mastery and proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Uphold highest standards of code quality.
- Define personal continuous learning plans and provide customized plans for junior team members.
- Demonstrate expertise in independently completing complex tickets.
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language.
- Experience with version control systems and collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
Desired:
- Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and TDD development methodologies.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with AWS tools and technologies.
The base salary range for this job is: $107,900-$183,400 USD
