Description
You will work on optimising and enhancing a prototypical tool for early detection of lightweight potentials through AI-supported analysis of vehicle data in overall vehicle development.
The goal of this work is to improve and extend an existing AI-supported approach to support early vehicle design.
Key tasks:
- Conduct literature research on AI-supported lightweight potential identification and data analysis
- Analyse and evaluate an existing prototypical AI tool
- Gather requirements from relevant departments
- Expand the data basis and integrate additional vehicle parameters
- Further develop AI and prediction models to improve forecast quality
- Design and implement automated data interfaces
- Develop additional visualisation and evaluation functions
- Validate and evaluate the extended approach using real-world application cases
- Derive recommendations for further industrialisation of the tool
Requirements:
- Studying engineering sciences, computer science/data science, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering with a technical focus, or similar fields
- Relevant study focus: vehicle technology, lightweight construction, machine learning/data analysis, technical visualisation
- Familiarity with data-driven development processes
- Basic understanding of technical product structures and development logic
- Ideally, knowledge of overall vehicle development
- Required IT skills: Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), proficient use of MS Excel and Office
- Ideal IT skills: SQL, experience with data modelling
- Language skills: German and good English
Benefits:
