Description
We are seeking a Senior Town Planner to join our Major Projects Planning and Development Team within Planning Consultancy. As a Senior Town Planner, you will work on landmark projects nationally and internationally, providing commercial planning and development advice to private and public sector clients.
Responsibilities:
- Devising planning strategies and assessing site planning history and policies
- Preparing briefing notes and drafting planning statements
- Reviewing third-party documents and planning deliverables
- Assisting with planning aspects in multidisciplinary teams
- Attending site visits, design team, and client meetings
- Managing project delivery and budgetary control
- Joining negotiations with planning authorities and stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external organisations
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in town planning or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
- Chartered status (MRTPI/MRICS)
- Sound knowledge and experience of the UK planning system
- Good technical and IT skills
- Commercial approach to planning consultancy and development
- Desire to work in a growing planning team
- Good organisational and communication skills
