Descriptive Video Works, owned by Keywords Studios, is seeking experienced freelance Mandarin (simplified) language audio description scriptwriters who share our commitment to accessibility.
Overview: Write and/or proofread Mandarin (simplified) audio description narration scripts for film and television content. Meet deadlines as determined by DVW Project Manager and communicate any issues that could impact the delivery of the script. Ensure that AD scripts meet DVW's and client's quality standards. QC/proofread AD scripts by other writers. Work with other writers in a collaborative team environment. Ability to work remotely.
Requirements: Commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Native speaker of Mandarin. Understanding of audio description guidelines and best practices. Minimum of 1 year of proven Audio Description script writing or AD script QC. Mastery of Mandarin written grammar and elements of style. Good English comprehension. Experience in media production, localization or copywriting a plus.
