The Financial Risks Manager will assist in the second line oversight of financial risks for PVA, ensure compliance with the Group Financial Risk Framework & Policies, and collate and analyze the output of financial risk appetite metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Risk Management:
- Assist in the second line oversight of financial risks for PVA.
- Ensure compliance with the Group Financial Risk Framework & Policies.
- Collate and analyze the output of financial risk appetite metrics and follow up.
- Collect information and prepare the financial assessment of potential/existing partners through due diligence process.
- Produce financial risk reports and assessments.
- Strengthen organisational risk culture.
- Risk Governance:
- Assist in the preparation of items to the Risk Committee for signing off/noting as per PVA and/or Group Risk Framework.
- Assist in the preparation of items to other forums, such as ALCO, Persistency taskforce.
- Assist to coordinate in escalation of financial risk issue and breach to financial risk appetite/limits where required.
- Support to monitor and report alarming FRM situations, outsourcing issues and action plan for financial risk mitigation to PVA Risk Committee and Group Risk team.
- Assist local compliance team to identify and escalate any local regulations which conflict with Group Risk Framework and financial risk policies.
- Risk Analytics & Insight:
- Perform data analysis on assigned projects.
- Develop and implement user-developed applications to enhance the effectiveness of risk manager activities for PVA.
- Collect information and prepare the financial assessment of potential/existing partners through due diligence process.
- Support FRM team in ad-hoc Product review.
- Perform model and application risk governance in PVA and respond to Group requirements.
- Support with ad-hoc requests from line manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science/Economics or other relevant field(s) of studies.
- At least 5 years working in life insurance industry with exposure to EEV, IFRS, Local Reporting, Experience Study, Business Planning, capital management, model risk control, etc.
- Analytical/Critical thinking & Data Analytic skills.
- Interpersonal skills; Orally & written communication skills in EN/VN.
