Description
Roblox is seeking a Communications Manager to lead strategic communications programs in India. As a member of the Global Communications team, you will build and execute localized communications campaigns through earned media channels to influence various audiences, including young adults, creators, brands, and parents. You will showcase the breadth of user-generated virtual games and experiences on Roblox, the role of developers and creators, and the company's commitment to safety and civility.
You have a strong understanding of the Indian media and cultural landscape, a track record of developing strategic initiatives, and experience as a public-facing company spokesperson. You are passionate about Roblox's mission and have an excellent understanding of consumer technology, social media, and entertainment industries. Knowledge of gaming, AI, immersive 3D technology, and user-generated content is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and execute compelling communications campaigns in India
- Utilize your understanding of the media landscape to build strategic recommendations and scalable communications programs
- Handle high-profile and fast-paced business issues
- Lead local market media outreach and develop company positions on key regional issues
- Work with various business functions to support their communications objectives
- Manage the India press office and ensure visibility for other spokespeople
- Bring fresh ideas and a creative approach to deliver measurable results
Requirements:
- At least 15+ years of experience in communications, preferably in a consumer technology company
- Fluent English language skills
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment and developing strategic communications plans
- Success in delivering impactful proactive communications campaigns across multiple markets
- Experience supporting various in-house business functions and managing multiple communication agencies
