Description
As a Senior Associate, Loan Documentation & Closing Specialist at Capital One, you will be responsible for coordinating loan closings, preparing and reviewing loan documents, and ensuring all loan documents are accurately prepared in accordance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing complex commercial loan documents using in-house and third-party documentation software platforms
- Conducting lien searches and related due diligence tasks
- Reviewing loan documents prepared by other associates or outside counsel to ensure compliance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements
- Analyzing due diligence documentation and preparing necessary lien perfection documents
- Coordinating the issuance of letters of credit, including renewals and amendments
- Interacting with underwriters, relationship managers, customers, agent banks, attorneys, title companies, and insurance agents
- Managing a complex workload with multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
- Remaining current on pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance
- Maintaining expert knowledge of lending processes, loan principles, and terminology related to banking laws and regulations
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent certification, at least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office or G Suite, at least 3 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services, at least 3 years of experience in Loan Closing, and at least 3 years of customer service experience in Small Business or Commercial lending support role.
The salary range for this role is $80,800 - $92,200 per year, depending on location. The role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
