Development of Measurement Technology for Vehicle Testing

We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team in developing measurement technology for vehicle testing.

As a development engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing a comprehensive measurement and data chain for vehicle testing. Your tasks will include:

• Analysing requirements and creating a detailed specification document
• Researching established measurement technology solutions
• Developing a concept for a seamless data chain from the vehicle to automated cloud storage, including data modelling and analysis pipeline
• Evaluating cost-benefit variants and selecting a final measurement technology configuration
• Implementing the measurement technology configuration in a test vehicle and developing necessary evaluation routines
• Comparing the new measurement technology setup with fully automated measurement data evaluation against the classic measurement technology setup with separate driving manoeuvres

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a degree programme in a relevant field such as vehicle engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, information technology, data engineering, or data science
• Strong focus on vehicle dynamics, virtual vehicle development, driving simulation, or related fields
• Proficiency in sensor technology, measurement technology, data acquisition in vehicles, bus systems (CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet), data transmission, and system architectures
• Programming skills in Python, basic programming experience, SQL, Azure/AWS, REST APIs, Git, Docker, Power BI, and data modelling
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills
