Tools Development Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Software Tools Development Engineer to join our GPU SWQA team. The successful candidate will have strong experience applying AI technologies to automate test cases and a deep understanding of Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated tests incorporating AI technologies for NVIDIA's device driver software and SDKs on Windows platforms.
• Build tools/utilities/frameworks in Python, C#, or equivalent to help automate and optimize testing workflows in the GPU domain.
• Develop and implement automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify and report defects.
• Drive test automation initiatives and build innovative ways to automate and expand software testing.
• Expose defects and constraints, isolate and debug issues, find root causes, contribute to solutions, and drive to closure.
• Measure code coverage for software under test, analyze and drive code coverage enhancements.
• Develop applications and tools that accelerate development and test workflows.
• Write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable, and well-documented code.
• Generate and test compatibility across a range of products and interfaces.
• Validate different key software applications across a test matrix designed to test both breadth and depth.
• Provide peer code reviews including feedback on performance, scalability, and correctness.
• Report test coverage and Go/No-Go status for deliverables, escalate critical issues, and drive them to closure.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to continuously improve deliverable quality, workflows, and processes.
• Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks to create a realistic delivery schedule.
• Work closely with leadership to report progress and generate effective and actionable reports.

Requirements:

• B.S./B.Tech/M.S. in Computer Science/Electronics & Telecommunication with strong academics or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, or equivalent with experience in applying Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Hands-on experience developing Python scripts using application development concepts like dictionaries, tuples, RegEx, PIP, etc.
• Working experience with databases and storage technologies like SQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience working on Windows OS with a solid understanding of GPU, CPU, and SoC architectures.
• Experience using AI tools to automate test cases as well as end-to-end QA workflow.
• Strong communication skills, including effective interpersonal and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and quick to learn.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply sound logic when isolating and regressing issues.
• Extensive experience with AI-driven automation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Development experience fixing regression bugs and implementing or enabling tests for CI/CD pipelines.
