Description
The Facility Control Operator Sr. supports, operates, and maintains Georgia Power facilities, equipment, and related systems. This role involves providing high-level customer satisfaction while performing reactive and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Support, operate, and maintain Georgia Power facilities, equipment, and related systems
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction to clients
- Perform reactive and preventive maintenance
- Work on evenings and weekends, responding to state-wide key infrastructure alarms 24/7 with minimal notice
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to other Metro Atlanta GA Power facilities
- Maintain a safety-first approach
- Ensure compliance with company and government regulations
- Perform inspections, receive and respond to work orders, and calibrate instruments and tools
- Manage contractor performance and complete administrative tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 6+ years of building maintenance experience
- Certification in a specific building management discipline (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.)
- Electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing licenses highly desired
- Previous work experience with key mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Proficient computer and mobile phone skills, energy monitoring systems, control technology, and Microsoft Office
- Strong initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills

Driving Requirements:
- At least one year of verifiable driving experience
- Valid driver's license for the class vehicle to be operated
