Team Manager, Financial Crime, EU (Spanish Speaking)

As a Team Manager, Financial Crime, EU (Spanish Speaking), you will lead a team of around 12 Financial Crime Investigators, focusing on tasks such as screening, transaction monitoring, account closures, and escalations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the personal and professional development of team members
• Providing technical coaching on financial crime tasks
• Driving exceptional individual and collective performance
• Guiding individuals through challenging times and celebrating their successes
• Holding weekly meetings with team members to ensure everyone is informed, engaged, and performing in their role
• Aggregating team feedback and feeding it into operational leadership
• Handling complex case escalations from senior financial crime investigators
• Conducting quality checks on senior financial crime investigators
• Chairing employee relations cases and making decisions consistent with Monzo's values

Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• Strong experience in team leadership across Financial Crime within the financial services sector
• Proven ability to drive excellent performance through others
• Strong knowledge and experience in the financial sector, particularly in financial crime investigations
• Strong knowledge of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and the EU

The operating hours for the team are 8am - 6:30pm, with flexibility required to meet customer demand, which may include infrequent weekend working.
