Description
GSK is looking for a Portfolio Manager to manage the Cloud & Hosting Platforms demand and portfolio of work. The role involves running lean portfolio management across Cloud, Edge and Modern Engineering platforms, steering with flow metrics and OKR progress, and tracking benefits realisation after delivery.
The Portfolio Manager will own the portfolio process, prioritisation framework, reporting, and transparency. They will coach and challenge delivery teams and Product Owners on portfolio discipline.
Key responsibilities:
- Run lean portfolio management for the domain
- Own the prioritisation framework
- Sequence delivery against strategy, capacity, and cross-platform dependencies
- Link every item of work to strategy and domain OKRs
- Steer the portfolio with flow metrics and OKR progress
- Provide portfolio reporting and transparency
- Track benefits and value realisation after delivery
- Coordinate supplier and managed-service demand
- Run domain portfolio governance forums
- Coach delivery teams and Product Owners
Requirements:
- Degree in a technology, engineering, or business discipline
- 15 years of experience, typically 6-8 years in portfolio management, PMO, or delivery management
- Experience in Cloud, Infrastructure & Engineering portfolio strategy and planning
- Practical experience of lean or agile portfolio management
- Experience managing demand intake and holding a single route against pressure to bypass it
