Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Artist to join the EA SPORTS NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Technical Artist plays a critical role in advancing how the team delivers world-class experiences. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Art Director and be responsible for helping drive quality at scale, owning runtime performance and optimization across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with rendering engineers and art leads to build, test, refine, and debug visual quality and performance
  • Operate at the intersection of creativity and technology
  • Bring a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies like Generative AI and Machine Learning

Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of games production experience
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
  • Effective communication skills with different audiences
  • Proficient in visual or textual scripting/programming
  • Proficient with graphics debuggers/profilers and memory/runtime resource management
  • Experience with asset optimization challenges/techniques
  • Willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems
  • Proficiency with commercial game engines/editors like Unity/Unreal is a plus
  • Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools
  • Passion for Games!
