People Operations Intern

Job Overview

We're seeking a People Operations Intern to join our team at Arc, a company transforming the marine industry through electrification. You'll play a crucial role in supporting our People team and contributing to broader People programs. The internship runs from June 14th to August 20th, 2027, at our headquarters in Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the People team
• Coordinate and execute process improvement efforts to streamline workflows
• Develop training content and manage course assignments and completion tracking in EasyLlama
• Audit employee records and internal systems for accuracy and consistency
• Assist with payroll tasks, including tracking employee changes and auditing timecards
• Prepare compliance paperwork and track deadlines
• Execute planning and logistics for company events
• Help run company engagement efforts
• Contribute wherever needed in a fast-paced startup environment

Requirements

• Clear communication skills, written and verbal
• Systems mindset with ability to simplify and improve processes
• Hands-on experience with AI tools
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with G Suite and willingness to learn new tools
• Discretion when handling sensitive information
• Genuine interest in People Operations
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Sociology, or related field
• Experience with HR systems like Rippling, Greenhouse, and CultureAmp
• Startup or small team experience
• Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
