In-House Substitute

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is seeking an In-House Substitute to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Following classroom teachers' lesson plans or creating lesson plans when needed
• Maintaining a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
• Supervising students in and out of class
• Teaching knowledge and skills, nurturing confidence and character, and inspiring passion in students
• Designing and implementing small group instruction
• Analyzing informal and formal student assessment results to inform instruction
• Communicating and collaborating with teammates, parents, and community members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Preliminary or Clear California credential preferred
• 30-day Substitute Teacher Permit
• Flexibility, strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build relationships
