Systems Engineer Sr Principal

GDIT is looking for an Infoblox Systems Engineer to join their team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD, Sterling, VA, or Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Enterprise Infoblox DDI and related services to the Government Agency's internal/external partners and clients with a focus on stability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and diagnose incidents and problems relating to DDI (Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and related services
• Ensure the platforms and services are managed and maintained
• Help identify and manage risks within the DDI platform
• Work with the Government lead and other service areas' Architecture, Engineering & Operations leads and technical specialists, as well as professional services staff from vendors to implement the plan to deliver a strategic DDI platform and migrate all in-scope services from existing platforms
• Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented and monitor effects of modifications
• Define the capacity and performance standards, metrics and thresholds and help build the instrumentation to effectively manage the environment

Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (e.g. Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, etc.)
• Core DDI Config and Admin (CDCA) certified
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or 12+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree
• Extensive recent experience configuring and managing DNS in a large enterprise
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, BIND, and NTP
• Understanding of broader technology domains such as storage, virtualization, networking, and data center operations
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cross-system issues, document root cause, and develop remediations
• Experience with Python and APIs
• Self-driven, able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across diverse technical teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
