Facilities Engineer

SpaceXAI is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee the design, construction, operations, and maintenance of critical facilities and systems at its Memphis, TN and Southaven, MS sites.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate site development projects, ensuring productivity and schedule efficiency
• Manage contractors, including proposal requests, supplier selection, and specification compliance
• Provide technical engineering support for construction and maintenance activities
• Commission, operate, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems
• Verify maintenance completion and coordinate repair efforts for various facility systems
• Develop cost estimates, material requisitions, plans, and specifications for projects
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors
• Prepare and coordinate capital expenditure processes
• Communicate project activities and schedules to personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations
• Respond to facility emergencies and implement readiness procedures
• Collaborate with the Space Force to acquire building permits and obtain necessary certificates

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 2+ years of professional experience in facilities engineering and/or construction
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance (electrical, HVAC, structural) and construction (buildings, roads, drainage, foundations)
• Ability to manage complex projects independently
• Experience reading, reviewing, and approving technical drawings and manuals
• Precision measuring instrument experience
• AutoCAD drawing production skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration experience
• Operating experience with boom lifts, man lifts, fork lifts, and cranes
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to travel to other SpaceXAI project sites
• Exposure to extreme outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain)
• Work in environments with fumes, odors, and noise
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends
• Valid driver's license
