National Security Policy, Senior Manager

As Scale grows its Government Relations function, we're seeking a National Security Policy Senior Manager to support engagements with the National Security apparatus, Congress, and the Administration.

You will:

• Support Scale's AI policy engagement with the National Security apparatus
• Work with the Public Sector Business Unit to shape and support programs at the DoD, Intelligence Agencies, and beyond
• Contribute to forming and executing Scale's policy strategy and priorities
• Coordinate internal collaboration with the Public Sector Business Unit
• Prepare briefing materials, memos, and talking points for senior leader engagements
• Own stakeholder and relationship tracking for long-term engagement planning
• Provide administrative support for external consultants, advisors, and executive engagements
• Draft internal updates and synthesized analysis on policy announcements and national security developments
• Develop and maintain a national security policy calendar and roadmap
• Support engagements with industry trade associations, think tanks, and external groups
• Monitor policy and regulatory changes for potential impact to Scale's business

Ideally, you have:

• 5-8 years of experience in defense policy, government, defense tech, or the broader defense industry
• Experience contributing to or supporting consensus-building at trade associations or similar venues
• Experience supporting company responses to rulemakings or requests for comment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous technical experience, such as research or working at a technical government agency
• A track record of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
