Sourcing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team in Chongqing, China.

As a Sourcing Manager, you will independently carry out sourcing activities with full consideration for the impact of those activities on the end-to-end supply chain. You will execute sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base to identify qualified suppliers and execute sound source selection processes.
• Participating in sourcing and category commodity strategy formulation.
• Preparing and presenting recommendations for improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior procurement/sourcing leadership.
• Supporting procurement/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
• Leading analysis projects/initiatives and providing coaching to less experienced analysts and specialists.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A college, university, or equivalent degree in a field appropriate for the function.
• Intermediate level of related work experience, preferably in procurement of high-horse-power engine castings and the relevant supply base.
• Familiarity with suppliers such as Weichai Power, Yuchai Machinery, Shanghai Diesel Engine (SDEC), FAW Jiefang Powertrain, Sinotruk Engine, Jichai Power, and CSSC Shaanxi Diesel, Hudong Heavy-Duty Machinery.
