Description
We are seeking an Archaeology Field Director to join our Heritage team in Fort St John, British Columbia. As Field Director, you will lead and manage archaeological field programs in support of infrastructure, energy, transportation, and community development projects throughout Northeast British Columbia.
Your Impact
- Lead archaeological field programs, including survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring
- Work with project teams to achieve client and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal heritage legislation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate archaeological considerations into project planning
- Engage respectfully with Indigenous communities
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to field program planning
- Participate in WSP's Health & Safety program
- Prepare and contribute to proposals, technical reports, and site records
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline
- Field Director status in the Subarctic/Boreal Forest Culture Area, or working towards it
- Experience with archaeological field programs and Indigenous communities
- Strong technical writing and data management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel

Compensation:
- $80,800 – $107,000 (BC, AB, SK, NT, YT & NU)
- $73,700 – $101,500 (MB & ON)
- $73,000 – $96,900 (NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC)
