Experienced Electrical Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking an Experienced Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our P-8 Electrical Power Engineering team in Tukwila, WA. As a member of this team, you will develop electrical power designs for the aircraft primary power system (Electrical Power Generation System, EPGS) and secondary power system (Secondary Power Distribution System, SPDS).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for EPGS and SPDS components and software.
• Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware designs, and interface specifications.
• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solve problems and provide support for fielded hardware and software over the product lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot P-8 EPGS and SPDS systems.
• Author and update Specification Control Drawings (SCDs), Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Compile and review documents to demonstrate compliance with electrical systems-related airworthiness requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with aircraft electrical systems design.
• Experience compiling Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), ICD, and System Definition Document (SDD).
• Experience with aircraft power systems and troubleshooting.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
